Miss Americana Synopsis:

Miss Americana is a documentary film of 2020 and by Lana Wilson it is directed and follows the life over the course of several years of the career of American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. On January 31, 2020 it was released on Netflix and in select theaters.

In her life at Swift “during a transformational period as a ” revealing look which is raw and emotionally” as she learns to embrace her role but not only as a songwriter and performer Netflix described the film, but as a woman harnessing the full power of her voice”. 2020 Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim Miss Americana debuted at the opening night of and on January 23, 2020. After its release by an artist in IMDB history it became the highest-rated Netflix original biographical documentary film.

In Swift’s life and career the film covers a number of events, including the making of her seventh studio album Lover (2019), her past battle with an eating disorder, her mother’s cancer diagnosis, her sexual assault trial and Swift’s decision to go public with her politics.The song “Only the Young”, the documentary includes which plays during the end credits of the film. After the 2018 United States elections Swift wrote the song, though it was not included on Lover.

In this movie we saw that many times over Swift has reinvented herself and “Miss Americana” finds her before the birth of her 2019 album Lover, and after 2017’s Reputation didn’t hit as well as her previous. When Swift became more politically involved this is around the time of and against conservatives like anti-feminist Tennessee senator Marsha Blackburn and Donald Trump. What lead to that transformation the movie seeks to detail and to pat her on the back for getting active but also makes sure.
